Space Coast private club founded in 1978 as the Cocoa Beach Yacht Club, on the Banana River. Now operating from a Cape Canaveral clubhouse on the Florida East Coast Deep Water Marina, alongside Port Canaveral itself.

For a cruiser, this is the useful club on the Space Coast. It keeps a fifty-slip deep-water dock at Mullet Road in Cape Canaveral and openly welcomes transient boaters: dockage books through Dockwa and Marinas.com rather than requiring a phone call to a membership secretary. Anyone running the ICW or coming down the Atlantic seaboard can stop here, which is a different proposition from the reciprocal-card-only posture of most private Florida clubs.
The club is non-profit and member-owned, and the calendar reflects a working boat club rather than a dining room: cruise-outs, cookouts, weekly dinners, and racing. The Canaveral Cup is the event the racing year is built around.
Note the geography before you plan around it. The club sits alongside Port Canaveral, a working commercial and cruise-ship port, so this is not quiet water. That is the trade for deep water and an ocean inlet within reach of the dock.

Power, sail, and social club organized 1980, on the Indian River Lagoon at Seaway Drive in downtown Fort Pierce. Monthly offshore PHRF races plus spring, fall, and all-ladies regattas; any YCA-club member is welcomed, with transient berths next door at the city marina.
