How it works

✓ Captain optional
– Bareboat cert required

Latitude is one boat and one captain: a wing-keel Catalina 30 drawing under four feet, rented bareboat to sailors with extensive experience (two recent years of it for overnights, minimum age 25) or sailed captained on two-, three- and four-hour bay cruises and sunset sails for up to six, with a four-hour instruction sail for one or two students on offer as well. The site says it sails all year, June to September being the quiet season, and names Venice, Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor, Cayo Costa, Pine Island Sound, Tampa Bay, Clearwater and St. Pete as the range.

As of October 2026 the site carries an undated note that the marina is closed for reconstruction after the storms, so there is no slip for overnight stays at the dock and guests meet the boat at the main dock by the tiki bar.
